Setting Up Tomorrow…

So, tomorrow night I’ll be setting up a booth at a local fair for The Cozy Home Spa, which I’ll be at for 3 days this weekend.

Kind of reminds me of December’s kiosk experience, except, without having a 30-day commitment to live in the mall. ;)

It’s funny because there’s a small part of deja vu:

Do I have all the products ready? Check. What are my sales tactics going to be? A, B, C, check. Everything ready for credit card orders–*gulp*– check!

But there’s also a sense of, “Yeah, yeah–I know what to expect this time around!”

There are so many other things I’m aware of this time. Like that I need to bring cash for the change box. And I’ll need bags to put the products in. And I’ve already got a receipt book on hand.

You know. The little things I was completely clueless about last time. ;)

So I’m excited. This time is great because the small details that cause large disasters will be averted, hopefully. (Although in entrepreneurship, aren’t there are always those new small details that cause new large disasters…?)

It’s been a fun component to work more on the product development, making things and putting together product combinations that I think will do well.

But, that’s also a scary part I didn’t deal with last time. At Christmas, those products were other people’s inventions–I just had to sell them. ;)

This time, it’s “my baby” I’m going to be selling, things that came straight from my ideas. So, a little more nerve-wracking on that end.

In the end, if people buy stuff at the fair, great. If they don’t, I’m going to pay attention to WHY they don’t.

Because there’s another fair coming up next week. It’s always easier the second time around. ;)
