the hundred dollar business

Quick update on things I did today:

• Registered business with the state.
• Got business license from the city.
• Called state tax commission for sales license info.
• Began work on a business plan.
• Researched market statistics & trends for the spa industry (will point out some positive info later)
• Set up a checking account & etc.
• Purchased bulk paper (there’s a great place here, ArtCo, where paper is extremely cheap) for labels, packaging, business cards, gift envelopes, etc.
• Tried a new recipe: chocolate facial mask. It was really delicious-smelling! Shared with a friend.
• Found more recipes to try online.

So, pretty productive. I think I’ll post mini-updates on here when I can to track the progress & so I can look back later and see how the process of starting a new business project unfolds.

It usually happens that after I’m done with the project, I forget the details and end up checking out the blogposts to sort of analyze what went right/wrong. Hopefully, more things will go right this time around!
