Tim Draper’s “Ask-an-Entrepreneur” Weighs In On The Entrepreneur Story
Jon, One of our awesome PR volunteers, sent in a question to the “Ask-an-Entrepreneur” column by Tim Draper.
(Of Draper, Fischer, Jurvetson, a venture capital group that manages over $4.5 billion in VC funds, and invested in the likes of Hotmail, Skype (we love Skype at The HDB!) and Overture).
So, Jon’s question was:
“I’m trying to help spread the word regarding the Hundred Dollar Business Entrepreneur Story project. Can you help spread the word about this project? We are looking for entrepreneur stories and PR for the project.”
and Tim’s answer was:
“Make it a blog or wiki, and not a book, and it will spread faster.”
So there ya go! I guess that poses at least two questions, which I think we could address on the forum:
1. Is The HDB already implementing this strategy via this blog, and how can we be more effective in matching the project’s ultimate goals to extending our blog reach?
2. Should The Entrepreneur Story itself take on the form of a blog/wiki, rather than in its current state as a Yepic doc/PDF?
I think it essentially comes down to “what is the future/purpose/goal of the HDB (and this project)” and “what is the best method to deliver The Entrepreneur Story” to the most people”.
More to come on both of these… if either of these questions interest you, let’s get it started on the forum.

Yepic is a wiki . . . FYI.

Richard,
Thanks for the clarification– I’d forgotten that it is, since the user interface is prettier than the typical wiki platform.
