Ask And Ye Shall Receive

Well… so, how about a story or two?!!

March 13– Day 30, Beta release of book. Here’s how this is rolling out:

We’re releasing three things tonight:

* A PDF file of The Entrepreneur Story (the collection of our entrepreneur-authors’ stories) for them to proof and send their edits by Friday, March 16th.

* A Yepic.com version of The Entrepreneur Story, now for sale, priced at $4.78. (approximately 100 pages)

* A Yepic.com version of The Hundred Dollar Business Story (our story from December’s kiosk), now for sale, priced at $3.78 (approximately 60 pages)

We’ll have an updated PDF available for sale after we receive the edits back from our authors, and based on interest and demand, will also roll out a print version.

(We decided to focus on one version at a time instead of three all at once, so we started with the Yepic doc, are now moving to PDF, and then will do print).
Now then, a few things to note:

1. These Yepic documents are best viewed in Internet Explorer— not Firefox– so if you’re a techie, I’m sorry. We’re working on it. ;)

2. All of these are what an author friend of mine likes to call “The World’s Worst First Draft”. The basic philosophy is that something can be improved on more easily than it can be created. We’ve got the basic content layouts now– so PLEASE send in your feedback, so we can make them better!

3. We feel comfortable having these rough documents “for sale” for a few reasons: the price is really low (less than $5 each), Yepic documents are updated real-time, so as we make changes, they show up in your copy, and finally, because today’s the day they HAVE to be on sale, to meet our goals! :)

4. To purchase the documents on Yepic, you’ll need to create a free user account on Yepic. When you select an article, Yepic will take you through a checkout system, where you’ll make the purchase with your credit card, and the funds will transfer to us through our PayPal account.

(In case you wanted to know how that works). If something goes awry, don’t hesitate to let us know!

We’re excited! We know they’re rough versions, but in a few days, and next week, and the next few weeks, they’ll turn into something better!

I want to write a lot more, but I’ve been typing/editing/writing all day, so I need to take a break. Be back soon!

A tremendous THANK YOU to all of our authors, volunteers, blog readers, tech support, and fan club… I appreciate you all!

    All the best!

  • Tom,

Thank you! I’m glad it’s been useful. :) What I love about these HDB projects is the AMAZING amount of learning that happens.

It’s a bit of a firehose coming at ya, but it’s just really interesting getting immersed in a particular industry or business model for a little while, and glean a lot from it. :)

  • Dear Carolynn,

Greatings from Slovenia, Ljubljana - Europe. First of all I would like to say to all reader’s do not never give up.
