The Shoe-Skate Entrepreneur

I have a Google Alert on “hundred dollar business” so I can get updates when something’s written about the project on the web.

Sometimes it pulls up sites that aren’t related to my business, but to other cool articles. Here’s an example.

When we were running the kiosk, about 1/4-1/3 of the kids that came by were wearing these skating shoes. Of course I was jealous, as I’ve wanted some since they came out about 7 years ago.

(Do they make them in adult shoe sizes?)

Anyway– regarding entrepreneurship, one of my mentors says, “You just need any dumb little idea” for your business. Who’d have thought that putting retractable skate wheels inside regular shoes would 1. work effectively and 2. be so popular?

Kudos to Roger Adams. If you read through that link, you’ll catch his story– I wonder if we could get his permission to join the project? (We don’t have anyone from Texas yet!) :)
